  • At Cedar Mill Chiropractic Clinic, our chiropractors help people of all ages work through pain, injuries, and mobility issues that affect the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. We focus on correcting the root cause of your symptoms so you can move comfortably and stay active.

    We commonly treat:

Back and neck pain — gentle chiropractic adjustments and soft-tissue care

Headaches and migraines — often related to tension, posture, or spinal misalignment

Sports injuries for adults and kids — sprains, strains, and overuse injuries

Auto accident injuries and whiplash — detailed exams and corrective care for collision-related pain

Sciatica and pinched nerves — nerve irritation, radiating pain, and mobility issues

Joint pain (shoulders, knees, hips, wrists, and more)

Postural imbalances and repetitive strain injuries

Pregnancy and postpartum discomfort — low-back pain, pelvic pain, and alignment issues

Chiropractic care helps restore proper alignment, improve movement, and reduce inflammation so your body can heal the way it’s designed to. As part of your care plan, we may also guide you toward healthier habits, including posture work, targeted exercises, and simple lifestyle changes.

  • Yes. Chiropractic care is one of the safest, drug-free, and non-invasive treatments available for musculoskeletal and nerve-related conditions. Most patients feel immediate relief following an adjustment, while others may experience mild soreness similar to post-workout stiffness—usually resolving within 24 hours.

Chiropractic adjustments, including neck and spinal manipulation, are performed with precision to restore motion and reduce pain. Serious complications are extremely rare—occurring in fewer than one in 5 million adjustments. Compared to many prescription or over-the-counter pain medications, chiropractic care carries significantly lower risks and focuses on natural healing without dependency on drugs.

  • Yes. Chiropractic care is one of the most effective ways to recover from auto accident injuries and sports-related strains. Gentle chiropractic adjustments help restore proper alignment, reduce inflammation, ease muscle and joint pain, and improve mobility. Early treatment is key — it can prevent long-term problems like chronic neck pain, recurring headaches, and lingering stiffness. Chiropractic care also supports faster healing of injured muscles, ligaments, and joints so you can safely return to normal activity.

  • Every patient’s condition and treatment plan is unique. Some feel relief after just one or two visits, while others with chronic conditions may benefit from a longer treatment plan. Your chiropractor will create a customized care plan based on your health goals, exam findings, and progress over time.

  • Chiropractic care, massage therapy, and acupuncture each play a unique role in natural pain relief and whole-body wellness. While they work well on their own, many patients see the best results when these therapies support each other.

Chiropractic care focuses on improving spinal alignment and restoring healthy nervous system function. This can help reduce back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches, and mobility issues.

Massage therapytargets tight or overworked muscles to ease tension, boost circulation, support injury recovery, and improve overall flexibility.

Acupuncture uses fine, sterile needles to stimulate specific points on the body. This helps balance the body’s healing response, relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and support stress relief and relaxation.

At Cedar Mill Chiropractic Clinic, there are times we combine these therapies to create a personalized, whole-body treatment plan that supports faster healing and long-term wellness.

  • Absolutely. Children can greatly benefit from gentle chiropractic care. From sports activities to everyday tumbles, kids often experience small misalignments that may lead to discomfort, stiffness, or poor posture. Pediatric chiropractic adjustments are very light, precise, and safe, tailored specifically to a child’s developing spine and body.

  • Yes. Chiropractic adjustments can reduce the frequency and intensity of headaches and migraines by improving spinal alignment, reducing muscle tension, and decreasing nerve irritation in the neck and upper back.

  • Yes. Chiropractors are recognized as healthcare professionals who may treat patients in hospitals and use outpatient facilities (such as labs or imaging centers) for non-hospitalized patients. These privileges have been in place since 1983 and continue to expand.

  • Yes. Chiropractic care is included in most health insurance plans, including major medical plans, workers’ compensation, Medicare, some Medicaid plans, and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans for federal employees, among others. Chiropractic care is also available to active-duty members of the armed forces at more than 60 military bases and is available to veterans at 36 major veterans medical facilities. Please contact your provider to confirm whether your plan provides coverage.

  • That popping sound is completely normal! It’s caused by the release of tiny gas bubbles between your joints when pressure changes during a chiropractic adjustment—similar to cracking your knuckles. There's usually minimal, if any, discomfort involved, and the sounds are simply a sign that your joint has regained proper movement and alignment.

  • A referral is usually not needed to see a doctor of chiropractic (DC); however, your health plan may have specific referral requirements. You may want to contact your employer’s human resources department—or the insurance plan directly—to find out if there are any referral requirements. Most plans allow you to just call and schedule an appointment with a DC.
